Clashes erupt in Kakapora
Clashes erupted between government forces and protesters in Kakapora town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district soon after local miitant Ayoub Lelhari was laid to rest on Thursday.
Youth pelted stones on government forces who were deployed at Lelhara Chowk, Samboora Chowk and Naman Chowk, who retaliated with tear smoke shells triggering clashes.
Ayoub Lelhari was killed in an encounter with government forces at Banderpora area of Pulwama district yesterday around 5 :30 pm.
Pertinently, on 13th August a youth namely Owais Shafi was also killed after government forces resorted to pellet firing in the area.
