India, Pakistan trade heavy fire on LoC
The Indian and Pakistani Army today exchanged heavy fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
According to the Defense ministry sources, Pakistan Army resorted to “unprovoked” firing and shelling on the LoC using small arms, automatics and mortars to target Indian positions.
The “ceasefire violation” started at 5.34 a.m., the sources said.
“Indian positions are retaliating effectively. Firing exchanges were going on,” the ministry sources added.
