Protest erupt in Wuyan after Indian flags were painted on mosque walls
Protests erupted in Wuyan Bala area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district after worshippers found Indian tricolour flags painted on the walls of the mosque.
According to the sources, some unknown persons painted tricolour on the walls of Jamia Masjid in Wuyan Bala during the intervening night of 14-15 August.
Following the incident, the residents of the village protested against the discretion of the mosque in the village.
“We strongly condemn the incident and we request the authorities to investigate the incident and book the culprits,” said Mirwaiz Ajaz Noori, chief cleric of the mosque.
