DDC inaugurates Skill Development Programme

The District Development Commissioner Baramulla accompanied by Joint Director Planning and Chief Medical officer, Saturday inaugurated the Skill Development Programme (SDP) at Nursing School of Old Hospital Baramulla.

The programme was formulated by the district administration as part of the Border Area Development Programme (BADP).

Pertinently, the programme is the first of its kind in which various skill development programmes in the nursing school are to be initiated so that more and more employment opportunities are generated.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the various benefits of the programme and said that such initiatives will benefit a number of students living in border areas of the district. He complimented the endeavors of Health Department and its other functionaries in realizing the programme.

He said that the programme will help in converting work force into a one. He said that various capacity development initiatives will be organized under the programme which will help in reducing unemployment to a large extent in the district.

Among others, Medical Superintendent, District immunization officer, District Health Officer, Medical officers of Health Department, Paramedics and a large number of medical auxiliary students were present on the occasion.
