Fire damages two shops, house in North Kashmir

Two shops were gutted in a mysterious fire that broke out at Singpora Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district late last night. However, no injuries were reported during the incident, police sources said.

They said that the blaze reportedly broke out on Wednesday mid-night at Singpora Pattan involving a shopping complex, however the fire brigade officials were quick to rush to the spot after being alerted.

“The firemen doused the flames within no time minimizing the damages,” police said.

They said that the cause of fire could not be ascertained immediately.

Meanwhile, reports reaching here said that a residential house belonging to Mohammad Ramzan Mir at Nadihal village of Baramulla was gutted in a fire incident.

However, a timely action of the local fire brigade and the locals managed to douse the blaze but the house suffered complete damages due to the fire, reports said.
