Director Information & Public Relations, Muneer-ul-Islam today presented Certificate of Appreciation to the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) staff working in the audio-visual unit for ensuring successful transition and in-house compilation of the Aks-e-Parwaaz programme.

The Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Zahoor Ahmad Guru, Assistant Editor Films, Syed Shakil Shan, AE&CO, Mohammad Amin, Film Librarian, Syed Mubashir Rufai, Translator, Naseer Ahmad, Translator and Bilal Ahmad Bakshi, Stringer (Cameraman).

The Director Information lauded the efforts of the DIPR staff associated with the compilation of Aks-e-Parwaaz for giving a brand new look and professional touch to the developmental programme which is being telecast on Doordarshan Kashir at 8.30 pm six days a week.

Pertinently, following recurrent complaints by the government functionaries and the audiences that the programme was being run in a disapprovingly unprofessional manner, the Department of Information, on the instructions of the Minister for Information, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, discarded the earlier outsourcing mode and started in-house compilation and production of Aks-e-Parwaaz from 1st August this year.

Since the day the Department started in-house compilation of the programme, it is being appreciated widely for its professional and technically sound presentation.

The Department is now working on establishing a hi-tech audio visual wing at the Media Complex by augmenting it through technically qualified human resource and latest audio-video equipment.
