Mohore Accident: Two more succumb, toll reaches 9
Two more persons injured in Mahore tehsil of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir early morning today, have succumbed, taking the death toll to nine.
Earlier today , a vehicle carrying passengers skidded off and rolled down into a 200-feet deep gorge in Reasi district killing seven people and injuring six others, police said Wednesday.
According to reports a tempo, bearing registration number JK02 AT-0730, rolled down near Shishi Nallah, resulting into on spot death of seven persons.
A police official said nine people were killed and six others injured in the incident and a rescue operation has been launched.
The deceased have been identified as Javed Ahmed age 26 yrs S/o Ab. Rashid R/o Jamslan Mahore, Wazira Begum age 35 yrs W/o Mohd Sharief R/o Jamslan Mahore, Charan Singh age 22 yrs S/o Faquir Chand R/o Buddan, Liquat Ali age 20 yrs S/o Ab. Hamid R/o Buddan, Mohd Ashraf age 19 yrs S/o Ab. Rashid R/o Buddan, Mohd Asif age 14 yrs S/o Ali Mohd R/o Jamslan Mahore, Jamat Ali S/o Manzoor Ahmed R/o Jamslan Mahore and Mubbashar Ahmed age 05 yrs S/o Bahadur Din R/o Sildhar.
The tempo was on way to Mahore from Buddan when the mishap took place.
