Cordon and Search operation in Achanambal Pantha Chowk
A cordon and search operation was launched in Achanambal Zafran colony area of Pantha Chowk on Tuesday, reports said.
According to the reports, soldiers of 50 RR launched a search operation in the area today afternoon, triggering fear and chaos among the residents, especially women.
The reports said that army thrashed a labourer during the operation.
Witnesses said that local police was not accompanying the army men during the operation, which is a requirement as per the Standard Operating Procedure.
