All shops, business establishments remained completely shut while as public transport was very thin on roads.

Pertinently, restrictions have been imposed by authorities in some localities of Sopore town including main chowk, Batpora crossing, main bazaar and Tehsil road to prevent any untoward incidents.

However a group of youth appeared at Main Chowk, Shah Dargah Chowk, Iqbal market and general bus stand and started stone pelting upon public and private transport on early morning to ensure a complete shutdown in the town. As a result, dozens of vehicles were damaged.

The slain militants included Javid Ahmad Dar of Khanpora Baramulla, Aabid Hamid Mir of Hajin Bandipora and Danish Showkat dar of Batpora Sopore.
