J&K Police to organize sports fest in South Kashmir
In its efforts to hone the skills of talented youth of State, Jammu and Kashmir Police under civic action programme is organizing a sports festival in South Kashmir.
The endeavour will channelize and boost the talent of budding players of the State both in boys and girls category. Various sports events under the age group of 19 will be played at District, Range, Zone and State levels, a police spokesman said here.
The interesting teams and individuals of all districts of South Kashmir are informed that they can collect and subsequently submit entry forms for 1st phase at their respective DySP DAR Offices by or before 12th of August, 2017.
The 1st phase of the event will commence on 23rd August, 2017 and will culminate on 30th August, 2017. The finalists of 1st phase will compete in 2nd phase of South Kashmir Range Sports Festival with the finalists of other districts of South Kashmir.
Various games including T20 Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Kabbadi, Tug of War, Karrate, 200 Metres race for boys, 100 Metres race for girls, Javelin throw, Discus throw (02 kilograms for boys, 01 kilograms for girls), Shot put 4.5 kilograms for both boys and girls, Kho-Kho, Wushu will be played in the Sports event.
