Shepherd, his grand-daughter drowns in Leh
A shepherd and his grand-daughter died after they fell in a water reservoir in Nyoma area of Leh, police said.
According to a statement issued here, a shepherd namely Murup Dorjay son of Tashi Dachan resident of Nidder post and his grand-daughter namely Tashi Lamo daughter of Tsewang Rigzan fell in a water reservoir at sheep farm Nidder in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nyoma, Leh and both died on spot.
After completion of all medico-legal formalities, the bodies of both the deceased were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites.
Leh Police has registered a case in this regard.
