Girl injured in Uri mine blast

An 18 year old girl was critically injured in a landmine explosion in Chrunda village of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, official sources said.

She has been identified as Hakim Bee daughter of Noor Din Khatana.

Immediately after the explosion, she was rushed to Srinagar hospital from SDH Uri for treatment.

While confirming the incident, Station House Officer (SHO) Uri Tabreiz Ahmad Khan said that the girl was hit by an underground mine near an army post outside the village.

He said one of her foot was injured due to blast but she was stable.
