United Jihad Council Chairman Syed Sallauhidin today lashed out at the former Hizb commander Zakir Musa after his appointment as head of an Al-Qaida-affiliated cell in Kashmir.

Syed Sallauhidin said that he (Zakir Musa) is playing into the hands of Indian agents.

Without naming Zakir Musa, Sallauhidin said that some miscreants are trying to malign the freedom struggle in Kashmir.

“Unfortunately, some miscreants, whom we know, intentionally or unintentionally are trying to malign the freedom struggle in Kashmir,” He said in video message.

UJC chairman said that the struggle in Kashmir is based on the concept of freedom in the name of Islam.

“These days, some of our friends are playing in the hands of our enemy and harm our people and our leadership,” he said.

“We want to tell them that by doing so, they will never be benefitted.”

Pertinently, Zakir was expelled from the Hizbul Mujahideen in May this year when he openly threatened Hurriyat leaders that he would cut off their heads in Lal Chowk and also criticised the Pakistani establishment and Pakistan-backed militants in Kashmir.
