Democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah was sent to seven day Enforcement Directorate custody by a Delhi Court today, reports said.

Before being sent to ED custody, Shah, while talking to media said that  there is no truth in terror funding cases.

“It is political vendetta,” he told media outside the court.

Enforcement Directorate Tuesday late evening had arrested Shabir Ahmad Shah from his residence and took him to Humhama guest house and later to New Delhi.

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had issued multiple summons to Shah, but he never deposed before the central investigating agency, sources said.

A Delhi court had earlier this month issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against the separatist leader.

“The warrant has been executed,” a senior official said.

Pertinently, on Monday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested seven pro-freedom leaders and activists over alleged money laundering charges in Srinagar.
