Marathon held at Uri

In its first, Marathon was held on Tuesday at Uri town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The Marathon was organised by Civil Administration Uri, in which locals, businessmen, government employees, NHPC workers, Personnel of J&K Police, CISF, Armed forces and civil defence volunteers participated.

At 7:00 am, the Marathon was flagged off from Bandi View point and concluded at Mini-Stadium Uri. 

The theme of Marathon was “Swach Bharat: Run for Peace and Clean Green Uri.”

Sub District Magistrate Uri, D. Sagar who participated in the event said, “Uri is one of the most beautiful destination in Kashmir, in order to make it clean and spread awareness, we organised this marathon.”

Meanwhile, a local Zafar Iqbal was also felicitated by the civil administration for his efforts in organizing the event.
