Cloudburst leaves dozens of Sheep dead in Tral

In a shocking incident, a severe cloudburst has left fifty one sheep dead in Nagabaren area of Tral in South Kashmir. The incident took place on Sunday, witnesses said.

According to the eyewitnesses, fifty one sheep died when a cloudburst hit a big pasture in Nagabaren area, 30 Kilometres from Tral sub division on 23rd July around afternoon.

The perished cattle belonged to Waseem Ali, Junaid Bakirwal, Abdul Gani Parray, and Noor Mohammad Dar, the witnesses said.

The shepherds were dismayed over the incident. “We have lost everything and are helpless now,” they told reporters in Tral.

 

The shepherds appealed the government for compensation their loses so that they can restart the sheep rearing.
