JK likely to receive heavy rain on 25, 27 July, IMD issues weather alert

The Jammu and Kashmir state is likely to receive heavy rains on July 25 and 27 with other states as the India Meteorological Department has issued severe weather warning for the next four days in many states.

The IMD said that Jammu and Kashmir will likely receive heavy rains on July 25 and 27 with other states.

IMD said in a statement that heavy to very heavy rain with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Gujarat, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal & Odisha. Heavy to very heavy rian will be experienced at isolated places over south Rajasthan, Assam and Meghalaya and heavy rains are expected at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa today.

On 25 July, heavy to very heavy rain with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Gujarat region; heavy to very heavy at isolated places over south Rajasthan, north Chhattisgarh, north Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, north Odisha, Saurashtra and Kutch and heavy at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, northeast Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, and Konkan and Goa, it said.

It said that on 26 July that heavy to very heavy rain are expected at isolated places with extremely heavy falls at isolated places over Gujarat region; heavy to very heavy at isolated places over Saurashtra and Kutch and heavy at isolated places over Rajasthan, northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, north Jharkhand.

On 27 July, heavy rain is very likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and East Rajasthan.
