Collision between private vehicle, army truck leaves five injured

At least five people travelling in a private car suffered injuries after it hit an army truck in a road mishap on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Chandhara Pampore in Pulwama district, police sources said Monday.

They said that a collision took place between Maruti car and an army vehicle near Chandhara, resulting into injuries to five persons travelling in the Maruti car.

The injured were immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment.

After first aid all the injured persons were referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialized treatment, doctors said.

Meanwhile, police identified the injured persons as Ishfaq Ahmad, Rameez Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad, Irshad Ahmad, all residents of Achabal Islamabad and Bilal Ahmad, a resident of Kokernag.
