Clashes leave four people injured

Clashes erupted between the forces and protesters Rohmoo and Thokerpora villages of Pulwama district leaving four people injured, reports said.

Clashes erupted in Rohmoo village as forces came under heavy stone pelting when they were heading towards Thokerpora to launch a search operation, witnesses said

“Forces retaliated with tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters that created chaos in the area,” they said.

Reports said that after forces launched search operation in Thokerpora village, youth took to streets and pelted stones on forces, who used pellet guns and tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters.

As per sources four youth got injured in the forces action. Two were treated locally and two were shifted to District Hospital Pulwama.

One among the two who are under treatment in Pulwama has been identified as Ubaid Ahmad Wani s/o Nazir Ahmad Wani of Rohmoo.
