Kashmir’s international footballer Merajuddin Wadoo who plays as defender, will be now playing in Mumbai City FC (MCFC) in 4th edition of Indian Super league (ISL).

During 13th round of auction for the players for ISL-4, which was held at Mumbai, Wadoo signed for MCFC at the salary of Rs 45 lakh.

MCFC is an Indian professional football franchise based in Mumbai which competes in ISL. The club was launched in August 2014 during the ISL’s inaugural season. The team is co- owned by Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and Bimal Parekh, Chartered accountant.

While talking with Kashmir Vision, Wadoo said that “I am happy to be the part of Mumbai City FC, will give my best.”

“I am always thankful to my fans and well-wishers, it is because of their utmost support and blessings that I again got a chance to play at such a big football event,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention that in the 3rd edition of ISL, Wadoo was the part of Chennayin FC.

However, the ISL is a men’s professional football league in India and was founded in 2103, in an effort to make football a top sports in India.

Earlier the league had 8 teams only, however, recently two more teams Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC were added and will play in 4th edition of ISL.
