Minister seeks youth push to Govt’s developmental agenda

Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, today appealed the youth to support the state government in realizing its developmental agenda.

The Minister was speaking at a public meeting held at Chrar-e-Sharief here today.

He said unemployment in the State is a crucial concern and that the State government is working hard to tackle the issue and explore possibilities of creating sustainable employment avenues for the unemployed educated youth.

 Hanjura said the State government has undertaken a substantial developmental programme in the entire State, constructing bridges, roads, schools, hospitals and other important projects for the benefit of ordinary people.

 Referring to the ongoing developmental activities in the Chrar-i-Sharief constituency, the Minister said that among other major development projects the electricity infrastructure in the constituency has been significantly upgraded by installation of heavy-duty transformers in the constituency.

 The Minister also said that various road widening and upgradation works have been started in Chrar-e-Sharief and that the area will soon see far better road connectivity.

On the occasion, deputations of locals also called on the Minister and apprised him of their concerns. He assured them of all possible help with redressal.
