CRPF commander ‘thrashed’ by colleagues

Paramilitary CRPF troopers Sunday thrashed their company commander after one of their colleagues died in the camp after falling ill.

Police sources said that the CRPF troopers posted at Wanpoh area of Anantnag district roughed up their commander after one of their colleagues died, allegedly due to lack of medicare as he was denied permission by the commander to visit a hospital for treatment.

“The CRPF trooper belonged to 66 Bn and was attached with 90 Battalion”.

Police sources said that the colleagues of the deceased trooper got angry with the behavior of their company commander and after they learned that their mate has died, they allegedly thrashed him.

PRO CRPF, Srinagar Sector, Rajesh Yadav, however, did not respond to the calls for confirming or denying the incident.
