Omar Abdullah demands action against army men who thrashed policemen

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday demand action against the army men who thrashed policeman in Ganderbal district late Friday night.

 “Why would the army beat up J&K police personnel in a police station? This requires immediate clarification/action by the authorities,” tweeted Omar Abdullah.

Police said that, 30 army men in civvies beat up an ASI and other policemen who asked them to stop at a check-post while they were returning from Amarnath Yatra.

Following the assault at the check-post, army men in civvies entered into police station Gund along with army soldiers from COB Gund and COB Surfraw 24 RR headed by captain Shukla and thrashed all the police personnel present there.
