Government forces on Friday resorted to aerial firing and teargas shelling to chase away protesters in Zirpora Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Following the Joint Resistance Leadership’s shutdown call,  the youth hit the roads chanting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

Consequently, forces fired in air and used teargas shells to disperse the protesters.

Pertinently, Joint Resistance Leadership had called for a sit-in and march to the UN office in Srinagar today to protest against the human rights violations and civilian killings in Kashmir.
