DSEK orders promotion of 122 Masters as Headmasters

In a move to elevate the grades of the teachers, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DEK) has promoted 122 masters as Headmasters.

In a handout issued here, the DSEK has also shifted around 70 lecturers in English and Urdu subject, from third zone and posted them in local areas.

“The promotion and posting of Headmasters and plus two lecturers in the schools of Kashmir division is on and more such orders are expected to be issued in near future,” DSEK G N Itoo in a statement said.

He said the directorate is giving in all efforts to provide sufficient teaching staff to the students enrolled in government schools.

“Our department is committed to provide adequate staff to the schools in a time bound manner and providing quality education to our students is the main goal of the department,” Itoo said.

He said the department is also committed to resolve the genuine issues of teaching and non teaching staff working in the department so that the staff delivers its best in a comfortable atmosphere.

DSEK has already issued regularization orders in favour of more than six hundred Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers, around 1200 in-situ promotions and cleared Rs 1.65 crore as medical reimbursement claim during last two months.

Itoo has also hailed the personal efforts of Chief Minister Mehboob a Mufti, minister for education Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari and secretary school education department Farooq Ahmad Shah for making the dream of “Ustaad Ghar” (teacher bhawan) come true.
