GST awareness session held at Kishtwar
The district administration under the chairmanship of DDC Ghulam Nabi Balwan organized awareness cum interactive session on Goods and Services Tax, here today.
SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, CPO Yasir Balwan, ACD Garbhi Rashied Dar, Tehsildar Kishtwar Irshad Butt besides traders, contractors and DDO’s of various departments attended the camp.
Nodal Officer Pawan Parihar, CEO Kishtwar Development Authority and resource person, Shrawan Kumar, Inspector Commercial Taxes and master trainer GST briefed the participants about new GST model, it’s rules and regulations, impact on tax structures, registration including migration into new GST regime which is in place in the state from 8th July 2017.
It was further informed that the registration of DDO’s involved in purchasing and deduction of taxes for works contract and other similar activities shall start from 25th of July 2017 on GST portal.
DDC requested the Commercial taxes department to organise more such camps at different places in the district for awareness among the business community about the new tax structure so that their business do not suffer.
