Chairman, Jammu Kashmir Young Mens League, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi while welcoming the statement of UN Gen Secretary Antonio Guterres, in which he stressed for a peaceful solution of Kashmir dispute through a dialogue, Reshi said that we Kashmiris are peace loving people and were always in favour of meaningful dialogue

Dialogue is the only option for the resolution for long standing Kashmir dispute, and Kashmiris believe war is neither an option nor a solution to the Kashmir dispute, Reshi, according to the statement said.

Reshi appealed UN Secretary General to take impressive measures and show positive and practical approach for the resolution of this long pending dispute.

“Kashmir dispute has multiplied human tragedies and it is because of this lingering issue that millions of people are facing immense hardships and a state of uncertainty and instability is looming over whole South Asian region,” he said.

Reshi said it is a golden opportunity for India to show seriousness towards the resolution of Kashmir, as India’s communal policies are the biggest hurdle for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir, the statement read.

While hailing UN Secretary General for his keen interest towards the issue, Reshi said that “it is encouraging, and from day first he is taking a keen and responsible interest in the issue.”
