Two injured in Bijbehra after army allegedly opens fire

Two civilians were reportedly injured when army personnel opened fire on protesters in Bijbehara town of south Kashmir on Monday afternoon.

According to the sources, the army allegedly thrashed a motorcyclist in the town, which triggered intense protests and clashes.

The injured has been identified as Abdul Ahad Ganie resident of Hassan pora. He has been shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment.

The clashes were going on when the last reports came in.
