Modi, Mehbooba, Abdullaha’s offer condolences

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed grief over the loss of lives in the bus accident which took place earlier in the day in Banihal area of Jammu region.

The Prime Minister took to Twitter to express his solidarity with the kin of the deceased.

“Extremely pained by the loss of lives of Amarnath Yatris due to a bus accident in J&K. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased,” PM Modi said.

“I pray that those injured in the bus accident in J&K recover soon,” he added.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and deputy chief minister Dr Nirmal Singh also expressed deep shock and immense grief over the death of Amarnath Yatris in a tragic road accident near Ramsoo on Jammu-Srinagar highway today.

The Chief Minister has conveyed her heart-felt sympathies to the bereaved families in “their hour of grief and has prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.’’ She also wished speedy recovery to those injured in the accident.

Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta also expressed deep grief over the road accident on Jammu-Srinagar highway near Ramsoo.

Gupta  in his condolence message conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the families of deceased Yatris and prayed for peace to the departed souls.

Expressing grief and shock over the accident, National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Working President,  Omar Abdullah, extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

 Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah prayed for the speedy and completely recovery of those who have sustained injuries in the accident and asked the administration to provide every assistance required to the injured and the bereaved families.

Terming the road accident in Banihal as unfortunate, member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and senior congress leader, Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed shock over the road accident. He expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.

Meanwhile, Minister for Social Welfare, ARI & Trainings and Science & Technology and MLA Handwara, Sajad Gani Lone expressed grieve over loss of lives in Banihal road accident.

CPI (M) senior leader and MLA Kulgam, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami, MLA Khansahib and Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former agriculture minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir also expressed grief over the tragic road accident in Banihal.
