Cross LoC firing: Child killed, woman injured
A child was killed and a women was injured in Pak firing in Bimber Gali as Indian and Pakistani army exchange heavy shelling and firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch’s Balakote and Rajouri’s Manjakote and Bhimber Gali sector, officials said.
The deceased is a five year old girl namely Syeda. She was killed after a shell hit her house in Behroti area of Balakote sector of Poonch district.
Earlier, a woman was also seriously injured in Manjkote sector of Rajouri
“Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing on Indian positions along LoC in Bhimber Gali sector of Rajouri,” they said.
Meanwhile authorities have started evacuation of locals in many areas as a precautionary measure.
Firing was going on when the last reports came in.
