Amarnath bus accident: death toll rises to 16, injured being airlifted
The death toll in Amarnath bus accident has risen to 16, while the injured are being airlifted.
Earlier today, a bus with registration No. JK02Y-0594, carrying Amarnath pilgrims met with an accident on Jammu -Srinagar highway when it rolled down into a gorge near Army Camp, Nachilana Banihal.
At least 16 people have died and over 35 others were injured.
A rescue team has been rushed to the spot and the injured are being shifted to the local hospital.
Reportedly, the incident happened when the bus was travelling through Ramban district.
