Tral Encounter: 2 bodies recovered, operation underway: DGP SP Vaid
DGP J&K S P Vaid while addressing a press briefing here said that bodies of the two militants killed during the ongoing encounter in Tral, have been recovered.
“‘The bodies of two militants are visible, some of them have entered in cave, the exchange of fire is still on. I hope some more will be eliminated” SP Vaid said.
When asked about the identity of the militants, Vaid said that the exact outfit is not known, it must be Jaish.
The gunfight had started between government forces and militants after a joint team of Army’s 42 RR and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, cordoned off Gujar Basti in Wantiwen forests of Satora village.
