Three buried alive after house collapsed in Doda Village

Three family members including a minor, were killed after a house collapsed during incessant rainfall in Tanta village of Doda district in Chenab Valley.

Official sources said that the incident occurred when the dilapidated house belonging to Muhammad Abbas collapsed resulting in the death of three family members. The house owner Muhammad Abbas his wife Tasleema Begum (26) and daughter Aaliya Banoo (4) were buried alive under the debris.

The locals who launched a rescue operation shortly after the incident managed to retrieve all the three bodies from the debris.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti expressed grief over death of three members of a family at Tanta Khara village of Doda district who were buried alive when the house they were living in collapsed due to heavy rains.

 The Chief Minister has directed the District Administration to provide all possible help to the next of kin of the family.

Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and others also expressed grief over the incident.

Conveying his condolence to the bereaved family, Azad has prayed Almighty Allah for granting solace to the departed souls and courage to the family of the deceased to bear with the loss.

He expressed solidarity with the family and urged the government to provide assistance to all those, whose houses have been damaged due to torrential rains.
