World community must take Chinese statement on JK seriously: Shabir Shah
Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah, on Thursday termed the statement of China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson regarding Kashmir to be “based on reality”
Hailing the statement by China’s FM spokesperson, Shah urged the world community to take steps towards the resolution of Kashmir issue.
Shah reiterated his appeal to UN member states, European Union, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and other world bodies to take seriously the demand of the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu Kashmir.
He said Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir have always favoured a peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.
The DFP chairman said the world leadership should without wasting any time play the role of a third party in bringing all the stakeholders of the Kashmir dispute on dialogue table so that the people of the state are given the right of self-determination.
