Clashes erupt in Pulwama after Friday prayers

Clashes have erupted between protesters and government forces in Chatapora locality of Pulwama district in south Kashmir after Friday prayers, reports said.

One youth namely Obaid  Ahmad of Chatpora Pulwama recieved bullet injury when forces opened fire on protesters. He got bullet injury in his left leg.

All shops and business establishments remained closed in the town and light traffic is on the roads.

A young boy Obaid Ahmad of Chatapora locality was hit by a bullet after forces opened fire on protesters yesterday.

According to the local sources, youth took to streets after congregational weekly prayers and staged protests against the use of force during yesterday’s clashes.

However, police and paramilitary forces deployed in the area used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth, triggering clashes.

During the clashes, at least five protesters were detained .
