Chaos in GB Panth hospital as doctors went on strike
Doctors today went on strike in GB Panth hospital Srinagar after an attendant allegedly thrashed a doctor on duty, reports said.
According to the witness, an attendant who lost a new-born baby yesterday had an altercation with the doctor. However, the dispute was solved amicably by the staff at the hospital yesterday.
However, according to the doctors on strike, the attendant allegedly slapped the doctor when he was performing his duties today in the wee hours of Friday.
Reports said that Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Principal Government Medical College Srinagar Dr Samiya Rashid and Medical Superintend GB Panth Hospital are on the spot to resolve the issue.
