A day after seven Amarnath pilgrims were killed in an attack in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, a complete shutdown was Wednesday observed in Pahalgam, a famous tourist resort to mark a protest against the killings of Yatirs.

Seven Amarnath yatris were killed while 18 others sustained injuries after their vehicle they were travelling in was attacked in Anantnag district on late evening hours on Monday.

Local sources informed Kashmir Vision that all the shops and other business establishments were closed in Pahalgam while the traffic was also thin on the roads.

Meanwhile, reports said that the hoteliers in Srinagar and other places in the Valley have also observed ‘Black Day’ today to mark a protest against the attack.

The attack has been condemned at all fronts, including main stream political parties, separatists, militants and the common citizens as well.
