Addressing the locals, the MLA said that the tourism potential of Loran and it’s adjoining areas will be tapped to its full potential. “Upcoming Loran-Tanmargh road project will act as a key link for attracting tourists visiting Kashmir Valley, including world famous   Gulmarg” he said.

He said that government was keen to develop and bring district Poonch on the tourism map.

Referring to a recent meeting chaired by Chief Minister on tourism promotion in Jammu region, he said that it was decided that along with   Loran special focus would be laid on development of Nandni Chooul  as a major tourist spot.

On the occasion, Shah Mohammed Tantray announced Rs. 4 lakh from his CDF for construction of paying guest huts at Nundni Chooul.

While highlighting the development initiatives undertaken in the area, Tantray said that 250 KV transformers have been installed at Loran, Baila Bala, Khait and Danna to upgrade and improve power infrastructure in the area.

While laying foundation stone of Dana link road, Shah Mohammed Tantry said the completion of other roads like Loran-Tangmarg road will stimulate economic transformation of locals.

“My thrust is on improving surface communication in Poonch as roads are key to development of any region”, he said and informed the locals that widening of   Mandi-Plera-loran road is also being taken up.
