DGP sanctions Special Reward for meritorious police wards

Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid today sanctioned special reward of Rs. 9,74000 in favour of 209 wards of serving police personnel, who have secured above eighty per cent marks in the annual examination of class 10th and 12th during the academic session 2016-17.

According to a press statement issued here, the reward has been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund to encourage and boost the talented school going children of police personnel. Those who have been awarded include 105 students of class 10th and 104 students of class 12th respectively.

Out of the 105 meritorious wards of class 10th, forty four wards, securing above ninety percent mark, have been provided Rs.5000, while sixty one have been provided Rs. 3600 each. Fifteen meritorious wards of class 12th with above ninety per cent marks have been awarded with Rs. 6000 and eighty nine wards with below ninety percent marks have been provided Rs.5000 each.

The aim of this endeavor is to encourage the competition among the police wards so that they achieve academic excellence and thereby become successful persons/ professionals in their respective lives.
