DDC conducts Public Contact Programme at Nutnoosa

As part of District Administration’s initiative ‘Public Contact Programme’, two programmes were organized at Government High Scholl Nutnoosa under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Khalid Jahangir.

Aim of the programme was to provide people with an opportunity to directly communicate with the functionaries of district administration and apprise them of their issues, concerns, problems besides seeking resolution, guidance from concerned functionaries.

The participants apprised the administration about their various concerns including drinking water and power supply issues, fencing of educational institutions, improvement in road connectivity, healthcare facilities, irrigation schemes, Khuls and transport facilities, among others.

The DC, while encouraging youth to become self-reliant and avail the benefits of the government schemes, said that district administration, financial institutions and implementing agencies are ready to support youth for establishing their own income generating units under various sectors like high density plantation, bee keeping, animal and sheep husbandry, agriculture sectors.

The Deputy Commissioner also gave patient hearing to the issues, problems and demands projected by people.

He informed the participants that district administration is making concerted efforts to complete all ongoing developmental projects in the district which include fencing of educational institution, leveling works for play grounds at Nutnoosa, besides construction of a pavilion in the ground of GHS, Nutnoosa.

He impressed upon Government officers, officials to remain present in their offices for resolve day to day problems of the public. He also informed that on 27th of current month a joint Kissan Mela and an awareness programme has been scheduled in the block Nutnoosa to aware the general public about the settlement of different nature of services under PSG Act and the different kinds of certificates would be prepared and distributed on the spot.

Senior Superintendent of Police Shamsher Hussain Choudhary besides other public representatives, prominent citizens also spoke on the occasion.
