JKSM’s women wing demands probe

A day after attack by unidentified gunmen on Amarnath pilgrims at Batengo area of south Kashmiri’s district Anantnag , Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement’s (JKSM) women wing held a protest on Tuesday at  Press Enclave, Srinagar.

Ruqaya, representative of JKSM’s women wing led the protest, condemning the death of seven Amarnath Yartis and demanded an impartial probe into the matter.

Speaking to the reporters, Ruqaya said that “ On the direction of Zaffer Akbar Bhat, who is the Chairman of JKSM,  we  are protesting here against inhuman incident happened yesterday with Amarnath ji Yatri’s in which seven innocent pilgrims lost their precious lives.”

“We are condemning this episode even as everyone in Kashmir is sharing their sympathy with deceased families with numb eyes,” Ruqaya said.

Ruqaya stressed on the impartial probe along with all the massacres that occurred in Kashmir. “We urge to International humanitarian organisation to intervene into the matter and punish the guilty,” she added.
