DLRC meeting held in Ganderbal, banks extend 277.25 Cr as loan

The District Level Review Committee cum District Consultative Committee meeting of Ganderbal District was held today at mini-secretariat Ganderbal.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Dr Piyush Singla.

The meeting was informed that during the previous financial year, Banks have disbursed loans amounting to Rs 277.25 crores to 13841 units under annual credit plan 2016-17 against the target of 555.02 crores thereby registering a 50% target achievement. Out of the total credit outlay of Rs, 277.25 crores by bank loans of Rs 159.14 crores comprising of 8804 units has been disbursed to priority sector and loans of Rs 118.13 crores comprising of 5037 units has been granted in favour of the non-priority sector. It was further revealed that Loan granted in favour of agriculture and allied sector at the ground level credit amounted to Rs 71.26 crore.

The District Development Commissioner stressed upon both banks as well as sponsoring agencies to play a vital role in eradicating unemployment crisis of district by achieving the set targets under various sectors for setting up income generating units. He also advised the financial institutions to sanction and disburse the cases strictly as per guidelines and in close co-ordination with sponsoring agencies. He advised NABARD/other concerned agencies for timely release of subsidy, margin money.

The Meeting was attended by CPO Ganderbal, LBO RBI, DDM NABARD and District Coordinators of all the banks. Besides Chiefs/District officers, heads of all the line departments of the State Government/sponsoring agencies were also present in the meeting.
