Dozen injured including nine ladies during clashes in Shopian village

Clashes erupted in different parts of South Kashmir on the first death anniversary of Hizb commander Burhan Wani, reports said.

According to the reports, nearly a dozen civilians were injured outside a mosque in Reshi Mohalla village of Shopian district when forces tried to stop reverberating of pro-freedom anthems being played on mosque loudspeakers on Saturday morning.

The injured includes nine ladies. One of the wounded ladies has been referred to Srinagar for specialised treatment as she is feared to have received pellets in her eye.

The lady has been identified as Sara Begum w/o Mohammad Hussain. Pertinently her husband is also reported to have received injuries.

Meanwhile, parts of Kashmir are under curfew as the valley is observing the first death anniversary of popular militant commander Burhan Wani.
