DC Poonch reviews Budda Amarnath yatra arrangements
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch, Tariq Ahmed Zargar Thursday reviewed the arrangements for the annual Budda Amarnath Yatra commencing from July 29, this year.
The meeting reviewed in detail the arrangements being put in place by the district administration from Bimber Gali to Budda Amarnath Mandi for a comfortable and hassle free yatra, including security, make shift toilets, lodging and langer facilities, drinking water, power supply, accommodation, medicare and traffic arrangements etc.
The meeting was informed that the first batch of yatris will arrive at Budda Amarnath on 30th July for paying ‘obeisance/darshan’ and yatra will be culminated on 5th August with the departure of ‘Chari Mubarakh’ from Shri Dashnami Akhara Poonch.
DC stressed for close coordination among all concerned departments and stakeholders for smooth and successful conduct of Budda Amarnath Yatra.
SSP Rajiv Panday, district officers, members of Budha Amarnath Yatra committee and prominent citizens attended the meeting.
