Summer Basketball League concludes
Summer basketball league concluded at Indoor Stadium on Thursday with El- Calor and Swish teams lifting the final title in girls and boys category, respectively.
In boys category, the final match was played between team Swish and NIT Srinagar. Team Swish won the final match by 6 points, as the score was 36-30. Zeeshan Rasool scored 20 points for team Swish and was declared as ‘Best Player of the League.’
In girls category the final match was played between El-Calor and Alley Oops, where El Calor emerged as the winer with the difference of 20 points, as the score was 26-06. Useeba Bashir scored 16 points for team El-calor and was declared as ‘Best Player of the League.’
The winning teams were awarded with the trophy and the cash prize of Rs 10,000 each and runner up teams were awarded with the trophy and the cash prize of Rs 5,000.
The league was organised by three basket ball players, Danish Pandit, Wasiq Ashraf Bhat and Ikan Singloo. However, league was sponsored by J&K Bank, Adeeb International and K.Cafe.
Meanwhile, 20 different teams of boys and girls also participated in the league
