Divisional Commissioner Jammu reviews development works at Reasi

Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari convened a meeting to   review the pace of major development projects and progress on implementation of welfare schemes in a meeting held, here today.

District Development Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Babu Ram, ACR Abdul Satar, SDMs, ACD and various other officers were present in the meeting.

Divisional Commissioner took a detailed review of the ongoing development works in Education, Health, R&B and allied sectors. He directed the concerned departments to work in synergy and ensure adherence to quality norms and fix timelines. He stressed for regular monitoring of the projects besides ensuring responsive administration for welfare of general public.

He directed the concerned officers to resolve all the issues of the PMGSY roads including land acquisition so that they get completed at an earliest without causing any inordinate delay.

He directed the concerned officers to redouble their efforts for providing basic facilities to the public. He said public participation is vital for expediting the development works.

Meantime, District Development Commissioner apprised the Div Com about the various initiatives taken for speeding up the development process in the district besides providing prompt services to the people at their door steps.

Div Com directed Chief Medical Officer to ensure the proper functioning of Blood Bank Reasi by making requisite purchase of the equipments and other appliances so that funds allocated would be utilized in time bound manner.

Food Safety Officers were asked to ensure regular testing of the Mid Day Meal so that quality food is served to the beneficiaries in the schools.

Bhandari also directed the officers of Agriculture Department to ensure effective implementation of central schemes meant for the farmers so that visible progress is made on the ground. ACD was asked to constitute special teams for expediting the ongoing works.

Earlier, Div Com also visited many sections of the revenue department and took stock of the facilities and services being made available to the general public.
