DDC Kupwara reviews Model Village Projects
The District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir, today convened a meeting to discuss the finalisation of works plan for Model Village Project in the district under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) 2017-18.
It was given out that 11 model villages are being developed on modern lines in the district which are approved by the Union Government for Rs 600 crore.
The meeting was told that Rs 204 crore stands approved for establishing Model Villages at Kupwara, Lolab and Karnah areas of the district.
It was further given out that an amount of Rs 83.50 crore stands released for carrying out the execution of these projects with latest basic facilities.
The DDC Kupwara exhorted upon the concerned executing agencies to start the execution works under the approved works plan devised by the different departments in accordance with the designated guidelines.
