Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today apologised for the ‘lynching’ remark of her cabinet colleague Imran Raza Ansari.

Chief Minister, who was present in the lower house said that Imran’s remark, for a moment, had taken her aback.

However, she said: “I don’t think Imran meant to say what he said.”

She said that this should not have happened. “I apologise for the remarks.”

PDP’s Imran Raza Ansari on Tuesday had told NC’s Davindra Rana: “I can lynch you here. I know your shady businesses.”

Rana later thanked CM Mehbooba for her “gratefulness”.

Earlier, National Conference came down heavily on the government saying their frustration got outpoured in worst form in the Legislative Assembly with a senior minister resorting to most unparliamentary, unbecoming and filthy language to suppress contrarian views.
