Caught on CCTV: Pilfers steal goods worth lakhs from shop in Kangan
A police official revealed that footage of two thieves, stealing goods from a grocery shop in the market, was caught on CCTV camera on Monday night.
He said that the thieves were unaware of their actions being captured by the CCTV camera. They looted goods worth lakhs of rupees from a grocery shop during the intervening night of June 3 and 4 at Kangan market in the Ganderbal district.
“The burglars, as per the CCTV footage, struck the shop at around 4 am and one of the things that they stole were cigarette boxes from the store,” he said.
The official said that the CCTV footage is being used to carry out investigations and a case has been registered in this regard. He said, “We are now trying to identify the people shown in the footage.”
