Security forces fire in air to disperse  protesters in Pulwama

Government forces on Tuesday resorted to aerial firing and tear gas shelling on protesters who were demanding the militant’s body killed in Bamanoo gunfight today in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

According to the local sources, people marched towards Pulwama police lines to demand his mortal remains.

Pertinently three militants were killed in a gunfight between forces and militants in Bahmanoo village of Pulwama.

The gunfight had started yesterday morning and two militants namely Kifayat Ahmad and Jahangir Ahmad,  were killed in the first hour of the gunfight. However the third militant gave a stiff challenge to the forces and fought for almost 24 hours before he was killed today.

Meanwhile, two of the three militants were laid to rest in their native villages amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
